The Fitbit Charge 3 got a 4/5 review from us, and we’re big fans of this versatile fitness tracker. It improves on a lot of aspects from the hugely popular Fitbit Charge 2, including a 30% larger display.

One of the most welcome upgrades comes from its added water-resistance. The Charge 3 has a swim-proof design, and adds in swim tracking to bolster its already excellent exercise, activity and sleep tracking.
While the Charge 3 isn’t billed as a smartwatch – consider the Ionic or Versa if you’re after one of those – it does have smartphone notification mirroring. That’s always handy if you just want to see what’s caused your phone to vibrate in your pocket.

Our review stated: “The screen is big enough that I’m able to easily read text messages (one of the few things I allow notifications from) and a swipe down on the main clock face will drag down the notification tray.”
The one thing the Charge 3 lacks is built-in GPS but you can at least piggyback your paired phone’s GPS if you want more accurate outdoor tracking. Considering there’s no built-in storage for your music, you might well find you want to bring your phone along anyway.
If you’re not already an Amazon Prime member, it’s worth signing up for a free 30-day trial for expedited delivery, too.
