Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 8 series for the Indian market in mid-October, and until now they were sold during flash sales. Due to “popular demand”, the company has finally launched an open sale for the Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi 8.
They can be purchased during any time of day at Flipkart or Amazon, Mi.com, and some offline stores.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is one of the first phones on the market with a 64 MP camera and a Helio G90T chipset. It has a huge 4,500 mAh battery and a microSD slot, which is exclusive for India. Xiaomi also included an 18W charger in the box for the quick-charging capabilities of the phone. The price of the phone starts from INR14,999 ($210) for the 6/64 GB variant.
The Redmi Note 8 also supports 18W fast-charging but has a basic 10W power block in its retail box. It comes with Snapdragon 665 chipset, up to 6 GB RAM, and 128 GB storage and costs INR9,999 ($140) for the basic 4/64 GB option.
The basic Redmi 8 is an even more affordable device – it starts from INR7,999 ($110) and brings a Snapdragon 439 chipset and dual cameras on the back, complemented by an actual physical fingerprint scanner.
Just like its bigger siblings, it also supports fast-charging at 18W for the 5,000 mAh power cell.
