Realme X50 will have over two-day battery life

The next 5G Realme smartphone is the Realme X50. It’s a 5G supported smartphone arriving with the Snapdragon 765G chipset on deck. This was one of the chipsets announced at the Qualcomm Summit earlier this month with 5G support on-board via the integrated modem.

Today, Realme China’s product manager, Wang Wei Derek, posted a screenshot on Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo from the Realme X50 5G with the text reading “After one day of use” (translated). The screenshot showed the phone was left with 62%.

Obviously, we don’t know the kind of usage that the phone was getting during the day it was used and there’s no breakdown view of the usage. Still, Qualcomm’s 7-series chipsets are known for being power-efficient and the switch to the 7nm process should help it in this regard.

We’ve consistently seen recent phones from Realme easily score over 100 hours on our endurance tests, so we are quite optimistic about the X50 5G’s battery endurance.

The Realme X50 was just shown off earlier today on a teaser poster, showing the four-camera setup on the back. It’s expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, along with a 6.6-inch LCD display and VOOC 3.0 charging support.

The phone’s zooming capabilities were teased, but with some time before the official unveiling set for January 7, Realme will surely be releasing more teasers before then.
