October security update released for the Galaxy Note 9

Samsung has released the October security update for the Exynos-powered Galaxy Note 9. The Galaxy Note 9 is the second Galaxy flagship to be receiving the October update – the Galaxy S10 5G was the first one. The regular Galaxy S10 devices will probably not be receiving the update anytime soon, as it was only two weeks ago that they got the September update, which included many of the new features that debuted on the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+.The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ may very well be next in line, however, as the previous update for both phones was released a little over a month ago. The Android 10 beta should also be coming out sometime this month for the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series. Samsung didn’t announce the Android 10 and One UI 2.0 beta in September and proved our exclusive report partially wrong, but we have our fingers crossed the company will not disappoint us as far as the actual release of the beta software is concerned. The Galaxy Note 9 update that’s rolling out now doesn’t seem to bring any new features, although the October patch itself is quite an important addition. It comes with software version N960FXXS3CSI5 and is currently available in Poland, France, Portugal, Serbia, Baltic, Romania, Bulgaria, and Switzerland. You can download the update over the air from Software update menu of your phone’s Settings app, or you can upgrade by downloading the latest firmware from our website and flashing it on your device manually.Have you received the October update on your Galaxy Note 9 yet?
