Samsung has released a new update for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ in a few Asian countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The update bundles the November 2019 security patch and comes with software version G960FXXS7CSJ3 for the Galaxy S9 and G965FXXS7CSJ3 for the Galaxy S9+.The November update for the Galaxy S9/S9+ comes at the same time that Samsung has detailed the November 2019 security patch, and that may not be a coincidence. The November patch fixes a vulnerability that affects, among other devices from both Samsung and other manufacturers, the Galaxy S9. This particular vulnerability was expected to be fixed in the October security patch, but that wasn’t the case and Samsung has now done the needful with this month’s patch. The latest Galaxy S9/S9+ update does not bring any new features or changes other than security enhancements and can be downloaded over the air from the device’s Settings » Software update menu. As always, you can also find the latest firmware in our firmware database (S9 | S9+)and use it to upgrade your phone using a Windows PC.
