New 6GB RAM variant of Samsung Galaxy S10+ appears on TENAA

An interesting (but perhaps trivial) new development is taking place in China with Samsung’s Galaxy S10+. As reported by @StuffListings on twitter, a new variant of Samsung’s first flagship of this year has just been certified by the TENAA.

Based on the TENAA listing, a new 6GB option has appeared for the model number SM-G9750, which denotes the international model of the Galaxy S10+. This phone first launched with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, depending on the storage size.
The listing includes photos of the Galaxy S10+ in black and there don’t seem to be any visual differences. We can only speculate that Samsung may intend to sell 6GB models of the Galaxy S10+ in other emerging markets, perhaps to sliver off some of the manufacturing cost of the phone.
