NEC’s new line of LAVIE PCs includes an all-in-one and two laptops


NEC Personal Computers announced three new LAVIE devices ahead of CES 2020. The device range includes the LAVIE Pro Mobile, the LAVIE VEGA, and the family-sized LAVIE Home All-in-One. All three of the new devices will be available in March 2020. NEC Personal Computers is a joint venture company of Lenovo and NEC Corporation.

The LAVIE Pro Mobile is a 13.3-inch laptop that weighs just 1.85lbs (837g) and is only 15.5mm thick. It runs on an Intel Core i7- 8565U processor and integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics. NEC states that the laptop gets up to 15 hours of battery life to help people be able to work all day. The top cover of the laptop is made of Toray’s “racing car grade carbon.” The bottom of the case is a light-weight magnesium lithium array. The LAVIE Pro Mobile starts at $1,600.

The LAVIE VEGA is a larger laptop with a 15.6-inch 4K OLED display. It has a Gorilla Glass 6 back cover and a smart speaker built into the LAVIE logo that works with Cortana and Modern Standby. You can activate Cortana even when the laptop is closed and in sleep mode to kick-start apps. The laptop has a YAMAHA sound system for audio. The LAVIE VEGA runs on an Intel Core i7 9750H processor and integrated Intel UHD 630 graphics. The LAVIE VEGA starts at $1,800.

The LAVIE Home All-in-One has a 27-inch FHD display that’s designed by LG Display and speakers embedded in the display. It works with Intel’s Wake on Voice function, so you have flexibility with how to control the display. The LAVIE Home All-in-One runs on an Intel Core i7-10510U processor, making it the newly announced LAVIE device with the latest processor.
