Les Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 19.12.3 débarquent, quoi de neuf ?

AMD vient de mettre en ligne ses pilotes graphiques Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 19.12.3. Le focus est la correction de bugs. La liste est assez impressionnante. Malheureusement il y a encore des problèmes non corrigés.

Disponibles en téléchargement, ces Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 19.12.3 s’attaquent à de nombreux problèmes. AMD parle d’une version concentrée sur la stabilité sous entendant que les versions précédentes avaient en toute logiques de sérieux soucis dans le domaine.

La note de version dresse une liste importante de patchs censés corriger de nombreuses défaillances. Par exemple les fréquences boost de la Radeon RX 5500 XT sont désormais correctement détectées par les pilotes. Leur installation ne doit plus rencontrer d’erreur de détection du matériel si certains contrôleurs Wifi sont activés. Le crash de “Rocket League” lors d’un changement de tâche a été corrigé ainsi que les soucis autour du Radeon Overlay dans les applications 3D plein écran.

Le constructeur annonce que le volume de l’audio de l’écran de démarrage de l’installateur a été réduit et la mise à jour automatique de la version Adrenalin 2019 (19.12.1 et versions antérieures) vers Adrenalin 2020 fonctionne désormais. A tout ceci s’ajoute la résolution d’un problème d’affichage lors du passage du mode sans bordure au mode plein écran dans certains jeux avec l’Overlay activé. Il s’agit que de quelques exemples. La liste des corrections est bien plus longue. Vous trouverez tous les détails en fin d’article.

Ces pilotes ne sont cependant pas parfaits. Ils s’accompagnent de nombreux problèmes sans solution pour le moment. Les cartes graphiques Radeon R9 200, 300 et R9 Fury peuvent devenir instables avec certains jeux DirectX 9 ou 11 si le taux de rafraichissement est de 120 Hz ou plus. La Radeon RX 5700 peut rencontrer des problèmes avec Battlefied V dans certaines circonstances. AMD parle d’un plantage lors de modification des paramètres du jeu avec le Radeon Boost d’activé. Cette même solution graphique peut provoquer un crash de Mortal Kombat 11. Enfin le problème avec l’application SETI @ Home dont nous vous avons parlé n’est toujours pas résolus.

Fixed Issues

  1. Game and boost clocks may be incorrectly reported for Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics products in Radeon Software.

  2. Radeon Software Install may experience an error and fail to detect AMD graphics hardware when a certain WiFi adapter is enabled in the system.

  3. Rocket League may crash or experience an application hang after performing a task switch.

  4. A black screen may occur when Performance Metrics Overlay is open and changing game resolution.

  5. After disabling Radeon Software Overlay users may still see the toast messages for the overlay shortcut while in fullscreen games.

  6. Audio from custom scenes may continue to play after recording or streaming has been stopped.

  7. Installer audio has been reduced as it was too loud on some system configurations.

  8. Some users may be unable to select drop downs in graphics settings for Tessellation Mode.

  9. Radeon ReLive may appear to be missing or not available to install on some system configurations with Hyper-V enabled.

  10. Newly added game profiles may fail to enable the currently selected global graphics settings options in their profile.

  11. Performing an auto update from web to Adrenalin 2020 Edition from Adrenalin 2019 Edition may fail with an error code.

  12. Improved Radeon Chill experience when using a gaming mouse.

  13. Switching between borderless and fullscreen in some games when Performance Overlay is enabled and Radeon FreeSync is enabled may cause stuttering.

  14. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries may experience black corruption near the bottom of the screen close to the player model.

  15. Radeon Anti-Lag may fail to enable for DirectX® 9 applications when enabled in the global graphics settings options.

  16. Radeon Anti-Lag may fail to enable for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

  17. The custom stream option may fail to present users with a url box to choose their endpoint.

  18. DirectML Media Filters may fail to apply Upscale and Denoise when attempting to do both at the same time on one image.

  19. Some Radeon FreeSync enabled displays may experience LFC intermittently enabling mid game causing poor performance or stutter.

  20. A grey box may prevent users from setting custom hotkeys in the scene editor.

  21. Performing Auto Tuning for graphics clocks on Radeon RX 5700 XT may result in an extremely high OC or unstable OC.

  22. Some games may experience instability and screen loss or control loss when performing a task switch when the Gaming profile is set in Radeon Software which enables Radeon Enhanced Sync.

  23. Radeon Image Sharpening may fail to enable in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order™.

  24. HDCP 2.2 enabled content may fail to play on some Radeon RX 500 series graphics products.

Known Issues

  1. Some Radeon R9 200, Radeon R9 300 and Radeon R9 Fury series graphics products may experience instability with a limited number of DirectX®9 or DirectX11 games when using a high refresh rate 120hz+ display. A workaround if you are experiencing this issue is to lower your displays refresh rate.

  2. Trials Rising may experience excessive fog/smoke in some areas of the game.

  3. CPU usage may remain sometimes remain high once Radeon Game Advisor has been invoked during a game.

  4. Factory Reset install may keep previously configured Radeon Software game profiles. This can cause mismatch between global graphics settings and per profile settings.

  5. Text overflow in some UI boxes or toast messages may be experienced in some language localizations.

  6. Controls for vertical sync may be hidden or disappear when Radeon Enhanced Sync is enabled.

  7. Radeon Software may open with an inconsistent size or may not keep it’s previously set size when opened.

  8. Some Vulkan® gaming applications may crash when performing a task switch with Radeon Image Sharpening enabled.

  9. Integer Scaling may cause some video content to show flicker when the display resolution is set to less than native resolution.

  10. Performance Metrics Overlay may appear to lock frame rate at 60 fps when performing a task switch in or out of a game.

  11. Battlefield V may experience an application hang when changing settings in game with Radeon Boost enabled on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.

  12. Performing a resolution change while Radeon Software overlay is open may cause an application hang or TDR.

  13. Enabling Radeon Image Sharpening on HDR enabled displays may cause colors to become washed out.

  14. Mortal Kombat 11 may experience an application crash after the splash screen on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.

  15. SETI@Home may be provided incorrect results from Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products.

  1. VK_KHR_timeline_semaphore (Win7 Support)

  2. This extension introduces a new semaphore type that uses an integer payload to identify a point in a timeline. The extension supports querying the semaphore, host wait/signal operations, and device wait/signal operations.

  3. VK_KHR_shader_float_controls

  4. This extension supports querying and overriding the default behavior of rounding modes, denormals, signed zero and infinity for floating point computations.

  5. VK_KHR_separate_depth_stencil_layouts

  6. The extension separates the depth and stencil bits allowing their image layouts to be set independently.
