How to reset the Xiaomi Mi Band 4
If your Mi Band 4 is unresponsive, won’t track your steps or is suffering from another issue, you may need to wipe it completely and start from scratch. You can do so from both the tracker and your phone.

Reset Xiaomi Mi Band 4: From the tracker
1. From the Xiaomi Mi Band, swipe up to the ‘More’ menu.
2. In the ‘More’ menu, scroll to the bottom and find ‘Settings’.
3. In ‘Settings’, scroll down to the bottom and find ‘Factory Reset’.
4. From here, confirm that you want to perform a hard reset by tapping the tick symbol.
5. Your tracker will then vibrate and you’ll be asked to pair it once again.

1. Go to the Mi Fit app.
2. Tap on your profile, then on your paired Xiaomi Mi Band 4.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap ‘Unpair’, then confirm this again.
4. Your tracker will then vibrate and you’ll be asked to pair it once again.

How to restart Xiaomi Mi Band 4: Soft reset
If you think your Mi Band is suffering from a mild hiccup, it might be better to simply reboot the fitness tracker – rather than restoring factory settings.
1. From the Xiaomi Mi Band, swipe up to the ‘More’ menu.
2. In the ‘More’ menu, scroll to the bottom and find ‘Settings’.
3. In ‘Settings’, scroll down to the bottom and find ‘Reboot’.
4. From here, confirm the soft reset and wait for the tracker to restart.
