The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ are now receiving the October security update. Where Samsung has been making Galaxy S10 owners wait until the final week or so for almost every security update, the company has been remarkably fast with Galaxy Note 10 updates. The September security update for the Note 10/10+ came within the first week of the month, and the October update has been released quickly as well.At this month, the Galaxy Note 10 is getting the update in Spain while the Note 10+ is being updated in France, with firmware versions N970FXXU1ASJ2 and N975FXXU1ASJ2 for the Note 10 and Note 10+ respectively. While we don’t yet have a changelog, we flashed the October firmware on one of our Galaxy Note 10 units and didn’t see anything different or any new feature. We will continue to dig further to be sure the update only includes the new security patch; do leave a comment below if you find something after installing the update on your Note 10 or Note 10+.As usual, you can download the latest update over the air. Just open the Settings app on your Note 10 or Note 10+, navigate to Software update, then hit the Download and install option. You might need to do this a couple of times for the update to show up, and since these updates are released in stages, you might also have to wait a few hours for the OTA to be available.Firmware for the new software are up in our firmware archive for manual upgrading. The update is only available over the air in France at this moment, but we expect that to change soon. Other countries should also be getting the update in the next couple of days, and we’ll let you know once that happens.Update: According to the changelog, the update brings improved camera quality and also improves the “stability of Keyboard sound”, whatever that means.
