Galaxy M21 to have the same Exynos 9611 chipset as the Galaxy A51

Last month, we brought to you exclusive news regarding Samsung and the development of the Galaxy M21. Now, just a few weeks after our original report, the device has been spotted online in the Geekbench database where it carries the model number SM-M215F.Much as we’ve suspected, the Galaxy M21 seems to be powered by the Exynos 9611 chipset. It’s the same SoC that’s been employed by the Galaxy A51 (hit the link for our review), and that’s rather impressive given that there should be a considerable price gap between these two smartphone models. The benchmark further reveals that the Galaxy M21 runs Android 10 out of the box and it pairs the Exynos 9611 solution with 4GB of RAM. The original Galaxy M20 was also available with 4GB of RAM as an option instead of 3GB, but we suspect that the Galaxy M21 will offer 4GB for the base model, and possibly more than 4GB as an optional extra. Our sources told us that the Galaxy M21 will be available in three color options, namely black, blue, and a more exclusive violet flavor. In addition, two storage options – 64GB and 128GB – should be made available at launch. As for the phone’s release, it’s still a mystery but, in theory, it shouldn’t take more than a few weeks before the Galaxy M21 hits the shelves. That is if we consider the fact that the Galaxy M20 was introduced in January 2019, and if we assume that Samsung will follow a strict yearly launch schedule.
