Asus ROG Phone II gets STRIX and Ultimate Edition versions across Europe

The Asus ROG Phone II is arguably the most feature-packed smartphone on the market right now. It packs all the latest and greatest components like a 120Hz refresh rate screen, Snapdragon 855+ chipset and UFS 3.0 storage. Up until now the device was only offered in its 12/512GB trim across Europe but starting today Asus is bringing two more varieties.

Asus is naming these versions STRIX and Ultimate Edition. The main difference here is in the RAM and storage departments where the STRIX Edition comes in an 8/128GB trim while the Ultimate Edition packs a 12 GB RAM and a generous 1TB storage.

In addition, the Ultimate version comes with 802.11ad/60GHz Wi-Fi support and 4G LTE with up to 2.0Gbps Cat 20 download. The STRIX Edition sticks to 802.11ac Wi-Fi and LTE speeds up to 1Gbps Cat 16 download. The Ultimate version also gets a sleek new matte finish on the back instead of the glossy finish on the standard models.

The STRIX Edition will go for £600/€700, while the Ultimate version will set buyers back £900/€1000. Both versions are already up for purchase through the official Asus store.
